Next year's West Penn Amateur is slated for The Kahwka Club in Erie, June 18-19, the first time the Amateur has been played in Erie since 2002 when Sean Knapp won his 5th of six straight titles at Lake View.

This will be the third West Penn Amateur at Kahkwa.  Knapp also won in 1999, and Erie's Tim Dunlavey won in 1987. The club has hosted two USGA women's championships--Joanne Carner won the 1971 Women's Open, a seven stroke victory over Kathy Whitworth, and Jane Park won the 2004 Women's Amateur, defeating Amanda McCurdy, two-up in the final.

Qualifying rounds at five sites will be played in early June.
