Jim Antkiewicz, Director of Golf at The Club at Nevillewood, was named the PGA of America’s Professional of the Year for 2008. A caddie as a youngster at Ambridge Country Club, he has worked in this area as an assistant at Allegheny under the guidance of Roy Vucinich, head professional at Highland, 1983-95, after which time he moved to Nevillewood, where he has worked for the past fourteen seasons. Antkiewicz has been heavily involved in organizations both at the Section and national levels.

Bob Collins, head professional at Oak Tree, West Middlesex, received the President’s Plaque presented for contributions in player development. He has been deeply involved in programs such as Clubs for Kids, the Tri-State PGA’s Kings Junior Series, and the Play Golf America Golf Night League. He has also been deeply involved in overall Tri-State Section PGA activities.

The WPGA congratulates both of these fine golf professionals.
