Led by a $7332 donation from South Hills Country Club, the WPGA Scholarship Fund experienced an excellent year in donations with just over $36,000 given by Member Clubs, program alumni, the Association's official family, and friends of the program. This amount has been consistent with recent years, an encouraging sign for the Fund in this difficult economy.

In addition to South Hills, Pittsburgh Field Club made a significant donation and overall club support was nearly $12,000. The total number of donors was 132. Thirty individuals gave just under $14500, including a dozen program alumni. The largest individual donation was $3000. Nearly $2500 was given in memory of Charles Voelker, Jr., Pittsburgh, most from area auto dealers and related industries. A family foundation donated $2000, an annual gift for several years. More than 100 donations were $100 and under.

The WPGA Scholarship Fund is a not for profit organization, and donations are tax deductible. It was started in 1941, and more than 600 students have received tuition assistance since its founding.
