Rohannas in qualifying school finals

Cousins Robert and Rachel Rohanna, natives of Waynesburg, PA, have reached the final stages of their tour qualifying schools.
Robert also was honored with the Frank Fuhrer, III, Award in 2005-06 and 2006-07. He was a four-year starter at Penn State University and an All Big Ten selection. He won the WPGA Public Links Championships in 2004 and 2005, and reached the quarter-finals of the USGA Public Links Championship in 2007. His money list standings on the Latino America Tour advanced him into the Web.Com Tour Finals. Robert joins Wexford’s Mike VanSickle in the Web.com Tour Finals. Both are former Pennsylvania Open champions. VanSickle won as an amateur in 2007 & 2008, plus the 2013 West Penn Open. Rohanna won the 2010 edition. Both were runners-up in last year’s Pennsylvania Open. Qualifying will be played December 11-16 at PGA National Golf Club, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Rachel received the Association’s Frank Fuhrer, III, Award in 2009-10 and 2011-12, as the area’s outstanding collegiate golfer. She was a standout at Ohio State University including All Big Ten honors. She is the only woman who has qualified for and made the cut in the West Penn Open. Since turning professional in 2013, she has played the LPGA’s Symetra Tour. Rohanna will compete in the LPGA Tour’s Qualifying School, December 3-7, at the LPGA International Courses, near Daytona Beach, Florida.
