Scholarship Fund Alumni Profiles
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

The following are alumni of the Scholarship Program. Alumni are encouraged to contact us either to update this information or submit additional profiles. 

Philip Abaray, Oakmont, Pitt, ’65, resides in Omaha, Nebraska. He regularly contributes to the Fund.   

Ronald Antimarino, Greensburg, Pitt, ’61, is a dentist in Long Beach, California, who regularly and significantly donates to the Fund. 

Robert Beitle, Pittsburgh Field Club, Carnegie Mellon, ’62, is a retired chemist from PPG, who resides in Sarasota, Florida. He was a member at Oakmont when he lived in the area, as well as a member of the Scholarship Committee and a regular contributor to the Fund. 

Bud Bilanich, Allegheny, Penn State, ’72, is an author, motivational speaker, and frequent guest on radio talk shows. He also holds advanced degrees from Colorado University and Harvard Business School. Bilanich resides in Denver. 

Robert Byrne, MD, Oakmont, Pitt, ’53, is a regular and significant contributor to the Scholarship Fund. 

Mark Caliendo, Westmoreland, Pitt, ‘75, is a member of the WPGA Executive Committee, and past President of Montour Heights CC. He is a Senior Engineer at Valspar, a firm that specializes in coatings and paints.

Gary Claus, Robert Morris '74, Pittsburgh Field Club, is a member at the club where was employed when he received a WPGA Scholarship. He is recently retired from a senior management position in the CPA firm, Price Waterhouse Coopers. Claus recently was appointed to the Scholarship Committee, and he also serves on the Board of Trustees at Robert Morris University, his alma mater.   

Danny Falleroni, Brackenridge Heights, Pitt, ’82, is a dentist in Washington, PA., who contributes annually to the Fund.   

Bob Gegick, Oakmont, Penn State, ’85, was Golf Course Superintendent at Butler CC until 2007. He is now in a similar position in Akron, Ohio. 

Richard Heckel, Edgewood, Carnegie Mellon, ’54, resides in Houghton, Michigan, where he was an engineering professor at Michigan Tech. He is a regular and significant contributor to the Fund. Dr. Heckel's engineering education career includes faculty membership at Drexel, Carnegie Mellon and Michigan Tech universities. He has started a web-site about engineering: www.engtrends.com.

Victor Hulina, Fox Chapel, Pitt, ’69, is a significant contributor to the Fund who resides in Pittsburgh. 

Joe Killian, Fox Chapel, IUP, ’83, is Director of Education at St. Alexis Church in Wexford. 

Don Kremer, Highland, Pitt’ 90, is the owner of Kremer & Associates, an investment management firm in Wexford.  He is a member at Sewickley Heights. 

Mark Marsico, Wildwood, Pitt, 80, is a member of the Scholarship Committee and a regular contributor to the Fund. 

Jim McGrath, Green Oaks, Pitt, ’80, a golf professional, previously at Youghiogheny, is now at Greensburg.   

Terry McGrath, Green Oaks, Grove City, ’75, Jim’s brother, is also a golf professional. He was at Chartiers for several years before moving to TPC of Michigan in Dearborn. 

Christopher Merck, Seven Oaks, Washington & Jefferson, ’97, resides in Canonsburg. He regularly contributes to the Fund. 

John Musmanno, Shannopin, Washington & Jefferson, ’63, is a District Court Judge. 

William O’Donnell, Churchill Valley, Duquesne, ’76, resides in Armonk, New York.  He is in the financial services industry. He donates regularly to the Fund. 

George Puskar, Youghiogheny, Penn State, ’64, is a retired executive from PPG. He is a member at Valley Brook. 

Ed Restilli, Oakmont, Pitt, ’59, owns Restilli Monument Works and resides in Oakmont. 

Larry Roytas, Chartiers, Duquesne, ’91, is the golf professional at Southpointe. 

Richard Spine, Montour Heights, Pitt, ’57, is a member at Chartiers. 

Ed Vietmeier, Chartiers, California (PA), ’83, is a golf professional, one of the Tri-State PGA’s top players.

Mike Zedreck, Pittsburgh Field Club, Penn State, ’81, is golf course superintendent at Pittsburgh Field Club. Prior to PFC, Zedreck held a similar position at Butler.
