WPGA - Education Center

The Association mission statement refers to “ . . . promote the interchange of information among Member Clubs; . . . “ A key element of this effort is meetings conducted on topics such as club management, handicapping, and the USGA Rules of Golf. The WPGA promotes attendance at meetings that other organizations conduct such as the USGA (Regional Conference), and the Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council (Western Pennsylvania Turfgrass Conference and Show). The WPGA meets with clubs on various topics of interest, such as Rules of Golf/Tournament Management. The Association regularly conducts seminars at which pros, managers, and superintendents gain professional certification points. Another element of this mission is the annual publication of a Club Operations Study.
