GHIN Challenges FAQs
What are GHIN Challenges and how do they work?
GHIN Challenges are a virtual net competition feature where golfers post scores through the GHIN app to compete on a leaderboard at a participating Challenge site.
-
The challenge runs for one month (starting on the 1st)
-
Golfers opt in through the GHIN app
-
Scores they’re already posting automatically populate a club-specific leaderboard
-
Players must post at least three scores to be ranked on the leaderboard
Who is eligible to compete in GHIN Challenges?
Golfers must be registered and active in the GHIN app to participate in Challenges.
This feature is limited to golfers with a Handicap Index®, excluding Trial golfers, golfers with NH, and Inactive golfers.
How can I join a GHIN Challenge?
Golfers can join a Challenge by:
- A pop-up notification after posting a score at a golf course that is or will be hosting a Challenge
- Through the Join Challenge button next to a host site on our GHIN Challenges webpage.
How do I post scores to a Challenge?
After you join a Challenge, every score you post at the participating facility during the duration of the Challenge is counted towards the Challenge.
**Note: It takes 3 scores posted at the facility during the Challenge period to be ranked on the leaderboard.
Can I join multiple GHIN Challenges at the same time?
Yes, golfers are able to join multiple challenges at the same time.
How does the leaderboard rank Challenge participants?
Rankings use your Total Net Score (Adjusted Gross Score minus Course Handicap) and are based on your lowest 3 rounds during the challenge period.
Will Challenge scores be subject to review?
Once a challenge ends, WPGA staff will review score postings for those who placed and won prizes. While GHIN Challenges are meant to be recreational competition, the integrity of the game remains a top priority.
