LATROBE — The second WPGA Senior Series event of 2026 is set for Wednesday at Latrobe Country Club.

The Senior Series has become a popular competition on the West Penn Golf schedule, with three events taking place throughout the spring and summer.

The opening Senior Series event of the season was contested at Hannastown Golf Club on April 27, where David Brown captured the Senior Division title after defeating reigning WPGA Senior Amateur champion Artie Fink in a playoff. Alan English earned the Super-Senior Division title with a 9-over score of 79, while Robert Strom claimed the Net Division following a scorecard playoff over Pat Petit.

Several of the WPGA's top senior golfers are expected to compete at Latrobe, including Brown and Fink. In total, 66 players will compete Wednesday.

The format of the competition is 18 holes of Stableford stroke play with three divisions: Senior (55 and older), Super-Senior (65 and older) and Net.

Following next week's competition at Latrobe, one final Senior Series event remains on the 2026 schedule, set for August 27 at The Country Club of Meadville.

Entries are open to amateur golfers age 55 and older who meet WPGA eligibility requirements. Players age 65 and older may choose to compete in either the Senior or Super-Senior Division, while all eligible players may also elect to compete in the Net Division.
