GREENSBURG — The third and final qualifying round for the 41st WPGA Mid-Amateur Championship is set for Thursday at Totteridge Golf Course.

Players will compete over 18 holes of stroke play for the opportunity to qualify for the 41st WPGA Mid-Amateur Championship, which will be contested September 8 at Fox Chapel Golf Club.

Play will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, with Michael Robb, Louis Bruzda and Evan Cravener leading the field off the first tee. The final group of the day will tee off at 12:50 p.m., featuring Edward Maruca, Kal Logue and Will Detemple.

The WPGA Mid-Amateur Championship, established in 1985, is one of the Association's premier championships for golfers ages 25 and older. Played over 36 holes in a single day, the championship features many of the region's top mid-amateur players competing for the John R. Birmingham Sr. Trophy.

Thursday's qualifier is the third and final qualifying round for this year's championship.

The first qualifying round was contested July 23 at Green Oaks Country Club, where Brendan Shaughnessy and Robbie Denove led the field with 3-under scores.

In the second Mid-Amateur qualifying round, Cole Davis and Mitch Faulkner led the field with 2-over scores of 72 at Nemacolin Country Club.

Ten players advanced from the qualifier to earn spots in the championship.

Following Thursday's final qualifying round, the field will be set for the 41st WPGA Mid-Amateur Championship on September 8 at Fox Chapel Golf Club.
